Welcome, Welcome!!

Well hello, and welcome to my blog. My name is Supriti and here’s something thing you need to know about me – I’ve never written a blog before, and I’m not used to leading my life in the eye of social media. I’m not a spring chicken, so I may fumble a bit as I take my first steps into the social-mediasphere. And I have to say, this whole business of blogging makes me just a little uncomfortable. But since the focus of the blog and Halo Jewellery (my dream brainchild) isn’t really about me, I thought that I’d have a go anyway, for what I think of as the greater good.

Halo Jewellery is something that I want to build to help disadvantaged women and give something back to society, while giving myself the opportunity to do something that I love - designing and making jewellery and trying to create a business with a social conscience. And it would be great if you would join me on my journey. Through this blog you can watch the twists and turns I go through, while I try to navigate my way across a myriad of bumps and potholes, learning as I go along. And maybe you’ll learn something from my mistakes too. I must also tell you that although I’m an introvert, I’m also a bit of a chatterbox, and may occasionally talk to you about things that have nothing whatsoever to do with jewellery. I call them my musings.

So. I know how to design jewellery. I know how to make jewellery. But I’ve never set up a business before, and I’m sure there will be tears along the way, but also little whoops of joy. But how will it all end? Will it be a slow rise? A meteoric success? A big fat failure? Or worst of all, a fizzle out into nothing? Only time will tell.
